A c a d e m i c Mr. Crutcher is currently an Adjunct Professor at Lawrence Technological University teaching design studio and visual communications courses. He has also taught Interior Design course at Eastern Michigan University. The studio exercises he explores introduce students to the process of design and design methodologies. He stresses the importance of graphic presentation as a part of the design process and expose the students to options and methods to problem solving. Using hand drawing and sketching techniques and the computer he present students the opportunity to explore the manipulation of form and space in architectural expression. Students are encouraged to explore the elements of form that are used to define space. By combining the process of design with the manipulation of form and space he present an opportunity for the students to develop meaning and purpose for space. he encourage my students explore the needs of the program functions and the
site by studying alternative ways to approach forming a solution to the design
